TITANTV NETWORK ACQUIRES EXCLUSIVE BROADBAND RIGHTS TO TELCO PRODUCTIONS' SYNDICATED SERIES "ANIMAL RESCUE," "MISSING" AND "DOG TALES"
New Digital Media Platform Offering Stations Groundbreaking Opportunity to Offer Syndicated Shows Via Web with Territorial Exclusivity
New York, NY -- October 23, 2007 -- TitanTV Network, the first of its kind digital media platform designed to connect local media affiliates and their advertisers to the digital world, has acquired the exclusive broadband rights to three Telco Productions series, it was announced today by Jack Perry, founder and CEO of Titan TV Media and Alex Paen, founder and President of Telco Productions, Inc. As of November, stations airing the six time Emmy-nominated Animal Rescue, now in its eleventh season, Missing, now in its fifth season and the freshman series Dog Tales can stream these shows via their website through the TitanCast player, which provides territorial exclusivity through its patented technology. The broadband version of the current week's episode will also be available on TitanTV.com.
The TitanTV Network provides the programming, management support and distribution system to help stations maximize their content offerings and revenue generating opportunities as they diversify into multiplatform providers. Stations that join the network can enhance their viewers' digital experience with a station-branded TitanCast player designed to manage content, host and stream original programming, transcode, and provide access to out of market content with geo-appropriate advertising, among other services.
"Telco, like other syndicators, produce extremely popular shows sold market by market that until now have not been available on the web," commented Jack Perry. "With the proprietary technology of the TitanTV Network, which makes it possible for only those viewers within a stations' exclusive copyright area to access their content, stations are able to "broadcast over the web," providing millions of viewers the opportunity to download these great shows and an entire new revenue stream for syndicators and their carrying stations."
Stations are free to sell advertising for the local broadband versions of Animal Rescue, Missing and Dog Tales, with a three-way split between the station, TitanTV and Telco Productions. TitanTV provides all of the infrastructure so even the stations with the most limited budgets can carry the series online.
"We are delighted that the TitanTV Network's advanced technology and delivery system allows us to offer a broadband alternative for viewers who may have missed an episode of one of our shows," said Alex Paen. "We are especially gratified that we can now generate even more exposure for the missing persons we feature on Missing, which will hopefully result in bringing even more of them to safety."
Animal Rescue entered its eleventh successful season in September, 2007. Hosted by Alex Paen, the weekly half-hour series showcases heroic stories of dedicated individuals helping animals around the world. The series is available in more than90 percentage of the country.
The weekly half-hour series Missing, also hosted by Alex Paen, features actual cases of missing persons, both children and adults, from across North America. The series works with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, as well as missing persons organizations, and since its premiere in 2003, 417 individuals featured on the show have been safely recovered. The series is available in more than 80 percent of the country.
Launched in September of this year, Dog Tales is a weekly half-hour television series, all about dogs and the people who love them. "Dog Tales" features dogs of all sizes, shapes and breeds from across the United States. The series is available in more 70 percent of the country.
